Gulf Coast Equality is a nonprofit organization of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies committed to strengthening and uniting the Mississippi Gulf Coast community. Through advocacy, outreach, education, and support, we provide resources that promote equality, foster inclusion, and celebrate the rich diversity that makes our region vibrant and welcoming for all.

We envision a just, inclusive, and affirming community where LGBTQ+ individuals are fully valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. Our goal is to help build a society free from discrimination. One in which diversity is celebrated, equity is advanced, and every person, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression, has equal access to opportunity, safety, and well-being.

Gulf Coast Equality Fest

Each October, Gulf Coast Equality proudly hosts the annual Gulf Coast Equality Fest, a celebration dedicated to inspiring, educating, honoring, and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The festival serves as a vibrant gathering that promotes visibility, unity, and equality while highlighting the contributions and diversity of our community.

Established
Gulf Coast Equality was established on August 14, 2016, in Gulfport, Mississippi. Since its founding, the organization has continued to serve the Mississippi Gulf Coast through advocacy, outreach, education, and community engagement.
