Volunteer with Gulf Coast Equality

Volunteers are the heart of Gulf Coast Equality. Your time, energy, and dedication help us create welcoming, successful events that celebrate our community and support important causes throughout the year.

Whether you're looking to give back, earn volunteer or community service hours, meet new people, or support the LGBTQ+ community, we'd love to have you on our volunteer team.

Gulf Coast Equality Fest – October

Our largest event of the year depends on the support of dedicated volunteers. Opportunities include helping with vendor check-in, event setup and breakdown, and providing general assistance throughout the festival.

Our greatest need is during the morning shift, when volunteers help prepare for the festival and assist vendors with setup. Volunteer shifts are available in both the morning and afternoon, allowing you to choose the schedule that works best for you.

Out of the Darkness Walk – September

Join the Gulf Coast Equality team as we participate in this meaningful community event supporting suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Volunteers can assist with fundraising activities, staff our team booth, cheer on participants, and walk alongside our team to help raise awareness and show community support.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon – December

Help encourage marathon participants by serving at one of our water stations along the race route. Volunteers distribute water, cheer on runners, and represent Gulf Coast Equality while supporting one of the Gulf Coast's premier community events.
