Buddy, originally from East Tennessee, served 26 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was chosen twice for the USAF’s Tops in Blue program (2007 & 2011) and was actively involved in the Air Force’s Sexual Assault Response & Prevention Program, serving as a victim advocate and training facilitator. Additionally, he volunteered as a telephone hotline on-call volunteer with rape crisis centers in both Little Rock, AR, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

After retiring from active duty, Buddy and his wife returned to East Tennessee for a while, where he worked as a network analyst. During his free time, he was involved with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, a non-profit that supports veterans, particularly those who have served in combat zones worldwide.

In 2018, Buddy moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is now fully retired. He seeks ways to engage with the community. He has played trombone with groups like the Coast Big Band and has performed as an actor, singer, and musician with Biloxi Little Theatre and Center Stage.
