Raised as an Army brat, Ali Aldrich spent her childhood living throughout the U.S, Panama and Argentina before attending the University of Mississippi and eventually making the Mississippi Gulf Coast home. Growing up across different countries and communities gave Ali a worldview that extended beyond any one city or state and fostered an appreciation for different people, cultures and perspectives.
Ali has spent more than 25 years in marketing, building a career that blends creativity, strategy and leadership. She currently serves as a Senior Marketing Manager at Hancock Whitney. Her commitment to her profession and community has extended well beyond her day-to-day work. Ali was actively involved with the local Advertising Federation for many years, including serving as president, and previously served on the board of the Gulf Coast Symphony and other organizations.
Over time, Ali's commitment to community involvement has increasingly become a commitment to advocacy. For much of her adult life, she believed many of the battles for women's equality and individual rights had been won. Watching rights she once thought were secure come under renewed threat led her to recognize that progress cannot be taken for granted. That realization turned complacency into action.
As an Ally, Ali believes allyship requires more than quietly believing in equality. It means choosing to stand up, speak out and use your voice when the rights and dignity of others are at stake. Her service with the Gulf Coast Equality Council reflects her belief that everyone deserves the freedom to live authentically, openly and without fear of being judged simply for who they are.
That commitment is also deeply personal. As the mother of four and grandmother of two, Ali wants her children and grandchildren to inherit a world where they are free to be truly themselves make their own decisions about their bodies and selves. She wants that same freedom for every family and every person, regardless of who they are or whom they love.
Ali is also a Mississippi Women's Assembly Leader with the Women's March, joining women from across the country in developing grassroots leadership and bringing community voices into the work of creating change. Whether through that work or her service with the Gulf Coast Equality Council, Ali hopes to help turn concern into action and contribute to a Gulf Coast where equality, acceptance and belonging extend to everyone.
Away from work and advocacy, Ali is an avid reader, loves playing mahjong and listens to blues and jazz. Her family also includes her now retired husband Kevin and Etta, a rescued French bulldog.
