Tracy Lyn Sorenson
Tracy grew up in Huntington Beach in Southern California. She lived there and enjoyed time with her boyfriend until he accepted a baseball scholarship and she joined the Marine Corps in 1984.
Tracy received her BA and MA in interpersonal and intercultural communication at California State University, Fullerton in 2007 and 2009. She has over 30 years of experience working with at risk youth, and teaching special education. Her experience continued in social work at VA Connecticut from 2014 through 2017 as a social work associate and continued as a social worker after receiving her MSW from New York University in 2017.
Tracy's focus is working in groups and with individuals within the LGBTQ+ and veteran communities. Topics she covers includes, but are definitely not limited to, LGBTQ+ issues, veteran homelessness, living with trauma, grief and loss, substance abuse, and providing resources.
Tracy and her husband, Rich, moved to Biloxi in May of 2020. He is the boyfriend from California and they've been married for 2 years. She has one grown daughter in New York City and 3 step kids in California. Tracy and Rich have a 3 year old, 100 pound boxer.
