Sandra grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, moved away after high school, and returned to be near family two years ago.  She is the mother of a nonbinary child whom she is homeschooling in a secular humanist tradition.  She has worked as a psychotherapist, statistician, professor, and college administrator.  She is a proud ally to the LGBTQ+ community on the coast and beyond.
