Jordan Davis was born and raised in southern Mississippi. Living and growing up in Wiggins, MS Jordan moved to Orlando FL where he worked at Walt Disney World. During his tone there, he discovered his true passion of music and moved back to Hattiesburg where he graduated with his Bachelors in Music Education. After his graduation, he joined the United States Navy where he truly learned what it meant to take pride in his LGBT community. While stationed in Bethesda, MD he was involved in numerous outreach programs to include liaison between LGBT sailors and outreach for local LGBT teens as well as instituted music lessons at the USO for the wounded warrior project to help alleviate the stress they encountered on a day by day basis.
Upon his transfer, Jordan moved to San Diego where he became the youngest music director for the Metropolitan Community Church of San Diego as well as president and PR official for the G.L.A.S.S. (Gay, Lesbian and Supporting Sailors). During his free time, Jordan likes to spend it with his partner, Jonathan Kelly, and explore nature. An avid “gaymer”, a perfect night in is laying on the couch playing video games.
His ambition is to see equality expand here in Southern Mississippi. Growing up here, he felt that he never had a voice to be proud of for being gay. His goal and dream is to see every child embrace their uniqueness and take pride in standing up and saying “I’m proud to be LGBT.”
