Jon Caridad is a retired clergyman with over 35 years of experience in church and school administration.  He has served in both Carolinas, Florida, Great Britain and Mississippi.  He has been involved in ministry to addicted teens and young people in South Carolina, England and Mississippi.  He has had training and experience in counseling those who are troubled by addiction as well as those who are disenfranchised by sexuality issues and in dealing with society.

He is currently Vice President of PFLAG of Gulfport, Mississippi and a member of the Gulf Coast Equality.  He is on the Board of the Pass Christian Theater project and has served on the Board of the Gulfport Little Theatre in the past.  He is a past member of the Krewe of Chaos in Gulfport and is currently a member of the Order of Dionysius, an affirming Mardi Gras and service Krewe.  He is a founding board and staff member of Project Discovery in South Carolina (a program for teen addicts who are ready for release from State facilities).  He has been a member of KAIROS, a ministry to prisoners in South Mississippi.

He is looking forward to working with and for the disenfranchised in South Mississippi through membership on the Gulf Coast Equality.
